Drama Updates

Grease is the word….

The students took part in a production of Grease this year and after a lot of rehearsals and preparation the performance took place on the 14th-16th May.  The students, staff and governors felt that it was a fabulous production and an all round success.

Rachel Jones (8MA) played a cheerleader. 

“Doing Grease was really fun all the way from September to the performance in May.  We worked really hard and it was worth it.  We always had a laugh at the Tuesday practices.  Everyone helped each other and the hard work was paid off when the performances went well each night.”

Philippa Christie and Joe McElderry played Sandy and Danny. 

“Grease was a fantastic experience.  We really enjoyed working with everyone and getting to know people that you wouldn’t usually talk to.  Doing Grease helped us to gain a lot more confidence.  We had ups and downs in the rehearsals but it was all worth it in the end. Grease was a fitting end to an excellent five years at Harton.”
