Laygate Primary School

A group of nine GCSE Art students spent the first two days of Activities week at Laygate Primary school painting the walls of the infant school courtyard. Miss McCaffery and Mrs Horton accompanied them and supervised the painting.

The school requested an ‘outdoor classroom’. This meant that they wanted a ‘number’ area, a ‘story’ area, a ‘sand’ area and a ‘water’ area. Students prepared ideas in the form of pictures themselves and staff from Laygate put forward their ideas too.

We had two excellent days of painting and students should be proud of the results they achieved. Mr Mike Dixon, Headteacher, Laygate school was delighted with the efforts of the students from Harton Technology College. They are to be commended for the results they have achieved.
