Working with a professional printer

The activity started off with students producing some fabulous pencil drawings based on the theme 'Local Coastline'. Great fun was had by all, even though we were dodging the rain clouds!

The students took their drawings to Northern Print, an art studio in Newcastle and produced their own collection of prints with the help of Helen Donolly, a professional printer. They also visited a Contemporary Art Gallery called The Art Works.

The students produced some excellent work using dry-point printing, collographic printing and screen printing techniques. (To see examples of their work – please click on ‘student work’.)

The staff at Northern Print and The Art works said it was a pleasure to work with our students, their behaviour was excellent and their commitment to their Art work was outstanding!
