The Art Department is a highly energetic and successful area of Harton Technology College. Five teachers cover the National Curriculum from Year 7 through to GCSE Level.

Starting at the age of 11, the students follow a well structured course which takes them from the basics of the formed elements of Art, line, tone, colour theory, through techniques of landscape painting and perspective onto the human figure and portraiture. This eventually culminates in the AQA Art syllabus for Fine Art, or a GNVQ in Art and Design.

We are proud of our results at KS3 and our success at GCSE.
