Year 11 BTEC Self-Portrait Exhibition

The Year 11 BTEC students were asked to produce a response for a front cover of an autobiography. They were given the 'brief' that they were now a successful artist and that a book of their works and life was to be published and that they had to design the front cover.

This was not only to reflect what they actually looked like but, in someway, to express something more about themselves. They were to use an artist they admired as inspiration for their work. The results were outstandingly successful.

All of the work represents a wide variety of differing styles and directions. Although not shown in this 'virtual' exhibition the size and scale of these painting make an extremely surprising visual impact.

The final exhibition clearly show a wide range of enthusiastic, imaginative and talented young artists.
