The cohort for 2007 has surpassed all previous years’ results, including 3 students in the top 5 nationally!
The headline figures are:
70.4% - 5A*- C (Boys 68%, Girls 73%)
57% 5A* - C including English and Maths
96% 5A* - G
100% 1+ A*- G
A special mention has to go to a number of students who gained outstanding results.
Abigail Green achieved amazing results including 11 A*’s and 2 A grades. She gained one of the top 5 marks in the country for English Literature out of 36,900 entrants.
Paul Branch was in the top 5 across the country for Maths out of 138059 entrants. His overall GCSE performance included 6A*’s and 3 A grade’s.
Laura Defty makes the hat trick for outstanding performance at Harton this year; she was also in the top 5 across the country for Maths out of 138059 students. Laura secured 12 GCSE passes including 4A*.
Other amazing achievements are Michael Moore who secured 7A*’s, 3A’s out of his 12 GCSE passes, Kathryn Brogdon who gained 14 GCSE passes, including 5 A*’s and David Ratcliffe who achieved 13 GCSE passes including 5A*’s.
Many other pupils also achieved high grades including a number of A* passes.
