Post 16 Presumption – Success!!!
“I am absolutely delighted that our ambitious plans have finally met with approval from the local authority. We have worked tirelessly for the past 15 months on our proposals and yet are still well aware that the real hard work is only just beginning.
I would like to issue a massive thank you to the staff, pupils, parents, Governors and many colleague head teachers for their tremendous support and best wishes. Also, we could never have progressed our plans without the support and advice from the LSC, DCSF and SSAT. In addition, the STaG BSF team of planners and architects have enabled us to reach the stage we have and in a very short space of time. Our plans will obviously have to align with the BSF developments and essentially we now have almost £25 million in total from which to develop the school for the future.
These are exciting times not only for the school but also for the borough. Our intention is to increase the level of choice and diversity available to the young people of South Tyneside and I am proud to be the head teacher of the school at yet another important and massive phase in its development.”
