ICT

The ICT department at Harton follows a wide range of innovative courses.

Key Stage 3

In years 7 and 8, courses have been produced by Harton Technology College, which follow the Key Stage 3 National Strategy for ICT.  These courses generate a National Curriculum achievement level three times per year.

Year 9 also follow an in house produced course, but in preparation for the requirements of year 10, the material is largely project based.

Key Stage 4

GNVQ courses at Intermediate and Foundation level have been running for several years, as has GCSE ICT, in both full course and short course versions.

One group of year 11 students is following a full VCE course, equivalent to 1 A Level, while the new AiDA course from the Edexcel examination board is running for 2 groups in year 10.
