Mathematics

Maths is a core subject and as such is studied by every pupil in the school from Year 7 to Year 11. Mathematics is an all embracing and pervading part of life. It helps us to create, plan, organise and solve problems.

Within the Maths department a wide range of technology is incorporated into lessons including the ever popular 'Who wants to be a millionaire' style quiz system. All students have a hand held unit which records their responses to questions posed by the teacher. This offers students an opportunity to play an exciting game and staff the opportunity to track student progress, thus target areas of weakness.
