In January this year some of the Year 9 students were lucky enough to be selected to visit St James’ Park with Mrs Armstrong, to interview NUFC’s French midfielder, Antoine Sibierski in French.
As an extra special treat, the interview took place in the home changing room.
Here are some of the questions we asked Antoine:-
Q1. Has your life changed since you became a footballer? (Votre vie a change beaucoup?)
A1. Yes, my life has changed a lot. It has taken a while to get used to but it is for the better.
Q2. Who are your heroes? (Qui est ton héro et pourquoi?)
A2. My hero is the old Pope because he was a very wise man. My grandparents were also Polish.
Q3. Do you get the opportunity to speak to many other French players? (Avez-vous l’opportunité de parler avec des autres joueurs français?)
A3. Yes, I often talk to the other French players on the team and, if I see them any other French players.
Q4. What kind of car do you drive? (Vous conduissez quelle marque de voiture?)
A4. I drive a Porsche Cayenne, it’s not very sporty but I have 3 children, so I need a big car for them.
Q5. Do you have brothers or sisters? (Vous avez des frères ou des sœurs ?)
A5. I have an older brother.
After the interview some of us got our NUFC tops signed, we were taken down to the dugouts and pitch, the television studios and press conference room.
Finally, we ended the day with a visit to the NUFC official club shop to buy souvenirs, and in the case of some, bags and bags of sweet! |
