Year 8

‘Enterprise Challenge’ on Wednesday 5th July.

28 th June 2006

Dear Parent/Guardian

As part of activities week (3 rd – 7 th July 2006) your son/daughter will take part in an ‘Enterprise Challenge' on Wednesday 5 th July.

This event is a great opportunity to learn to work in a team and develop their skills as an entrepreneur. They will work in small groups, competing to design the best new soft drink. Students will be asked to give a short presentation of their product and design. Judges will select the wining product/team on the day.

The event will take place at Casa Rosa, 19 Fowler Street, South Shields. Students must make their own way there for a prompt start at 8.45 a.m.

They will remain in the building all day and lunch will be provided. Students will be free to make their way home at approximately 2.45.

The event is an exciting and informative experience for all students involved. They will not only gain a valuable insight into the world of work but should also find the day very enjoyable.

Should you have any queries, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Yours sincerely

H Hartridge
