Enterprise Co-ordinator - Lorraine Watson
Enterprise is very important in the school vocabulary. Through Enterprise, we create young people who are able to problem solve, who are willing to have a go, and who are not phased by a challenge.
Every day 'Enterprise' at Harton includes:
- Running small businesses
- Working on technology projects
- Producing a year book
- Managing review sections on the website
- Newspaper reporting teams
- Film crews
- Photography teams
- Managing our public events - such as Rock Nights
- Working on small community projects
- Working with local industry on identified tasks
In July 2006, Harton will hold a whole school activities week. This will include a range of sporting and enterprise activities.

Monday 17th November 2008 Global Enterprise Week
21 Year 9 Students took part in the national ‘Make YOUR Mark Challenge’. The challenge was to ‘Create an entrepreneurial idea inspired by the Olympic & Paralympics Values’.
There are seven Olympic & Paralympic Values. The challenge was to create an entrepreneurial idea inspired by these Values. The idea could be a product to sell, a service to provide or perhaps a space or a place which makes money. They could choose one or more of the values.
The Olympic & Paralympic Values:
Respect, Excellence, Friendship, Courage, Determination, Equality, Inspiration.
